New Zealand leads Australasia with its dazzling camp kitchen culture Gleaming Camp Kitchen Miranda Holiday Park |

New Zealand is setting a cracking pace in its leading Holiday Parks with dazzling presentation of camp kitchens and amenities blocks. In the North and South islands the best examples lead Australasia.
Few Australian caravan parks are in the same league when they are compared with camp kitchen examples we have enjoyed while camping in New Zealand.
This does not hold true of New Zealand's Holiday Park chalets and motel units which in Australia translate as caravan park cabins. Australia leads in cabin quality and overall caravan park presentation in most states and territories. Australia's downsides show in areas where tired accommodation product is kept in service way past its used by date.
There is a strong cultural element to the excellence of New Zealand's 'kitchens for campers'. In essence Kiwis camp and Aussies cabin and caravan.

There is a subtle difference in the way the "camping" experience is approached by New Zealanders and it is a family rite of passage in New Zealand's Holiday Park culture.
But this sets an emphasis on family demand for excellent camp kitchens which leads New Zealand Holiday Parks to deliver the highest standards.
Unlike Australia New Zealand places a heavy emphasis on motorhome and campervan camping. But regardless of the Recreational Vehicle involved, when meal times come all campers, including those in caravans and tents, join the practical social scene in the camp kitchen.
This traditional camper first service is supported by quality barbecues and pools which extend the camping experience in the best way.
Chalets and motel units are the New Zealand Holiday Park version of the popular cabins in Australian caravan parks and there is no drop in the delivery of "fully equipped" by the leading New Zealand Holiday Parks when compared with Australia's cabin product.
We use New Zealand Holiday Park chalets and motel units regularly. They range from mostly basic to an increasing number of new much improved examples. Some much improved examples we have enjoyed can be found at Miranda and Taupo.
Here are some pictures we took in our recent travels. They reflect Holiday Parks and the people who make them happen and show how good New Zealand's best can be -
