Anglesea Beachfront Family Caravan Park proved once again it is a top Top Tourist Parks destination as it won the Tourism-Accommodation award at last night's Geelong Advertiser Business Excellence Awards.

Judges praised the Top Tourist Parks of Australia chain member caravan park for its 'first-class' operation.

The Geelong Advertiser reports today that Errol Morris, managing director of the park, said the award was prestigious.

"It feels good to have won it," he said. "It all bodes well for tourism in Anglesea."

In a bid to make caravan park operators more professional and competitive and to meet the expectations of travellers Top Tourist Parks of Australia continues to build on a decision to translate cabin accommodation into four classifications.

Caravan Parks throughout Australia are challenged by their own success as they now cater for the travelling public in the broadest sense.

Top Tourist Parks now classifies its cabins as – Superior, Deluxe, Standard Ensuite and Standard non-ensuite.

Anglesea Beachfront Family Caravan Park in Cameron Rd is also one Great Ocean Road Top Tourist Parks of Australia chain member which is prepared to help travelling pets and their owners when it can provided the pet owners contact the caravan park in advance.

Errol Morris told GoSee that nine pets and owners camping sites have been specifically developed at the popular Top Tourist chain member caravan park to help pet owners.

They have power and water in an Anglesea riverside location beside a walking track – “But it is critical that pet owners book in advance”, Errol Morris said.

“It is all about availability”, he said.

Peak periods like January and Easter are no pets times. Anglesea is only 90 minute drive from Melbourne, and is situated on the Great Ocean Road, at the foot of the Otway Ranges on Victoria’s Surfcoast.
