South Australia Climate Action conference names Quorn Caravan Park among Green Travel innovators

Quorn Caravan Park is now a Climate Action Innovator among South Australia's climate change conscious tourism operators.

Recognition of its efforts to reduce its carbon footprint came as Tourism Minister Jane Lomax-Smith launched the Climate Action Certification program sponsored by the South Australian Government at the inaugural Conference on Green Travel, Climate Change and Eco Tourism in Adelaide.

Brush-tailed Rock-wallaby return to Grampians wild critical step in species recovery

Captive-bred Brush-tailed Rock-wallabies have been successfully reintroduced into Victorians Grampians National Park in a trial bid to save the critically endangered species from extinction in Victoria.

The trial reintroduction is a critical step in the recovery program.

The animals released were carefully selected for their age and genetic diversity.

Imparja to turn off free-to-air satellite TV for travellers in Australia

Imparja is stopping legitimate travellers (and even people living in a reception black spot) from receiving Imparja (Nine network).

This follows an internal review by Imparja Television and a decision to withdraw from the processes by which viewers whose place of residence is located outside Imparja's licence area have been able to gain access to Imparja broadcast services.

GoSee on the deck in Western Australia at Air Race final stage in Perth

GoSee captured some on-the-deck flying excitement in Perth at the weekend.

Air Race pilots are penalised for hitting Air Race Gates but flying through a gate at speeds up to 400kph is hard particulary doing it 10 metres off the ground with forces on their bodies of up to 10G.

That is the Red Bull Air Race and Perth packed all vantage points to see the action over the Swan River.

She says Centrelink recognises her Recreational Vehicle as her home and after more than eight years as a resident of the 'Highways of Australia' Diana still votes Federal and State.

Beside Canberra's lake beneath the trees 21st Floriade dances in the breeze

Organisers are pleased by the turnout so far in Canberra to both Floriade and the new Floriade NightFest.

More than a million bulbs and annuals are used every year at Floriade, Australias biggest floral show. Over the years Floriade has evolved to become Canberra's flagship event.

Throughout the 30-day event different flowers bloom at different times. So colours constantly change. Floriade runs until Sunday October 12.

Wendy colours kids into Family Parks Alice Springs Conference

'We are a family friendly chain so I thought it would be a good idea to have a colouring competition for young Family Park family members at the conference', Wendy said.

Young Family Parks members got a special plastic folder put together by GoSee's Michele Mowat and the games took off.

2008 Christchurch National Motorhome and Caravan Expo underlines commitment by united industry

The South island 2008 New Zealand National Motorhome and Caravan Expo underlines the commitment to a united front which is now recognised by New Zealands motorhome and caravan industry.

Motorhomes, caravans, camper trailers, pop-tops, campervans, fifth wheelers, tents and RV and camping accessories are all in the Expo mix. The 2008 show will be held at Canterbury Agricultural Park, Christchurch on October 3, 4 and 5.

RV flagship club wins $100,000 Queensland grant to build more dump points

The Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia has a $100,000 grant to fund more dump points in Queensland.

The grant through the Queensland Department of Main Roads will provide more dump points for Recreational Vehicles over the next two years.

Carla and her cat find genuine pet friendly accommodation close to Sydney

Despite being labelled as 'pet friendly' the reality is that the vast majority of accommodation on offer only welcomes dogs and often under strict guidelines; so you could ask just how 'pet friendly' they really are.

But there are some hotels, cabins and self catering apartments that do welcome all types of animals and Carla and Gershwin road tested a selection near Sydney for GoSee site users.

Limestone Coast Real Food Trail Project launched in South Australia

The Regional Food Identity Limestone Coast Food officially launched the beginning of the Limestone Coast Real Food Trail project on Tuesday August 26 at Cellar 3 Poplars Winery in Coonawarra, South Australia.

To kick off the day 40 Limestone Coast Food members participated in a hands on cooking demonstration by Australia's Premier Indigenous Chef Mark Olive.

Poplar Tourist Park puts Jayco members on raceway grid with Christmas on a stick club rally event

When GoSee heard that the Jayco Club of NSW had Barry Christmas for a President an Out There Christmas in July rally had to follow. It did - big time.

After two months of careful planning by Poplar Tourist Park manager Darren Core Christmas and Co with Jaycos in tow took position on the Oran Park raceway starters grid.

It was like Christmas on a stick for 20 Jayco caravans with 40 Jayco Club members from the North Coast, Blue Mountains, South Coast, Canberra and in between.

Taking a refeshing, sensible, responsible, industry leading position on towing safety Mitsubishi told GoSee that a Weight Distribution Hitch (WBH) is recommended for (towball) downloads exceeding 135kg.
